High Fructose Corn Syrup........its in SO much stuff out there.  For those that don't know what it is, its a very cheap sugar derived from corn.  It has taken the place of sugar in most products because it is cheaper for those companies to use other than regular sugar.  The problem with HFCS is that it goes directly to the liver and spikes your insulin to greater levels than even regular sugar does. This makes your body hold on to fat and not allow it to be released or used for energy.  So since its addition to products in the early 1980's we have seen a rise in obesity and diabetes.  Now of course there have been many other processed foods and additives out there over the last 30 years or so. But, next time your in the store, look at the ingredients and see if you see High Fructose Corn Syrup in it.  If you see it, stay away from it.  We preach whole foods for a reason, and one of those reasons is to stay away from processed food additives.  Check it out and see what you can find!!

5 rounds:

3 reps Clean Pull (1 rep max clean wt)

6 reps Vertical leaps (2', 1.5' over out reached hand)

100m Farmers Walk (35#, 25# bumpers held from the top)

*the clean pull is the first part of the clean.  you must get the weight pulled off the ground and get the bar above your belly button.  vertical leaps can be a broad jump or an approach jump.  farmers walk will be done by carrying a bumper in each hand by pinching the weight from the top.

*8 rounds.  One round is 20 sec of Deads, 10 sec rest, 20 sec Situps, 10 sec rest.  Total time 8 minutes
