I often get asked which is moreimportant: to have correct form (ie full range of motion), or to go fast in the workouts.  The initial answer is.....yes!  What i mean by that is both are important.  First off, we want to train the body to work through the entire range of the movement.  If we dont have that full range strength, then we lose momentum, efficiency, produce short muscles, and produce less power for each rep than if we go the full range.  Second, speed is important because it is the intensity in which we are working.  We are pushing to go fast enough so that your form is just a touch off perfect.  If its picture perfect then you are not going fast enough.  Intensity is directly related to Power.  If work is defined as Force x Distance, then Power would be that divided by time.  So, the faster we go at the full range of the motion, the more Power we generate.  The answer is yes!!!!
