You will hear us say OVER AND OVER that you must open your hips up fully.  Why do we harp on you so much about this? Well the strongest movement you have is the final quarter of your squat, the top part.  If you are are able to squat 150 lbs in a full squat, then your top quarter squat will be some where around 300lbs.  With all of this power up at the top end of you hips opening, why wouldn't you want to use this to generate more movement in your body, momentum on the bar, higher jumps, heavier cleans, etc, etc, etc!  Remember that ALL movement starts from our hips, use them to your advantage.  Get the most out of them and open them up as hard and as fast as you can!!!  Feel how much more it gives you.  More hips means more efficiency, more efficiency means more work done and more power generated.  This translates to more gains, more calories burned and looking better naked!  And isn't that what its all about?:)
