Crossfit training started as a way to increase GPP (General Physical Preparedness).  This is being more all-round athletic and ready for ANYTHING that comes your way.  Many gyms have realized that the recipe of "Constantly Varied, Functional Movements Done at High Intensity" works.  But because they want to try to hook everyone, usually for financial reasons, they start to add specialty class: boot-camps, endurance biases, strength bias or OLY class, etc.  I think that all of these are great classes and very fun, however, if you are truly crossfitting, then you aren't specializing in any one portion of crossfit.  Yes getting stronger is important, yes have high endurance is important, yes doing well at the Olympic lifts is important......BUT.....it all comes down to what you are trying to achieve with your training.  If you want to be ready for ANYTHING that comes your way, then you need to train to be ready for that, which is specializing in nothing but doing everything.  If you want to increase all of the 10 physical traits of fitness, then you need to train them all at high intensity and change it up everyday.  If you want to be a better all-around athlete, and have the body that goes with that, then you need to work all the parts of fitness regularly.  Basically, the INFERNO gym is a Crossfit Pure-ist Gym.  We build better athletes, we build more functional individuals, we build people who will be able to play longer in their lives than before.  We are the INFERNO!!!!!
