I was talking to a couple of my firefighters the other day and they said that they wil look at the workout and see some obvious muscles that are going to be used.  They will see that shoulders will be used or arms, etc.  But they say that the next day they will feel places that they never thought would be sore.  I said each of our workouts have hidden "gems" in them.  These gems are the sorenesses that you never expected.  This soreness comes from the connections of your bodies muscles working together as a system.  When you do isolated movements, you are only working 1 muscle at a time.  However, when we move throughout the day, we use our body as 1 complete system working together to get the job done.  During our workouts, the muscles that get sore are the ones that we use to make the body work as a unit.  This is what makes us functional.  So keep hiting it hard and keep finding those gems.  Just think of them as "little angel kisses of Inferno love" being sprinkled on your hard core crossfit bodies!!!
