Injuries....They happen...They suck!  Nobody like to get hurt and then have to limit the active lifestyle that they have worked to achieve.  We can't let ourselves get to frustrated when we get hurt.  We need to be smart about it.  First, tend to the injury immediately.  This means that you get ice on he injury right away and that you give it a couple days rest.  If its really bad, go see your medical professionals and see what they say.  Next, after a couple days, its time to start moving again.  This doesn't mean that you load up a bunch of weight as you would have before your injury.  But it means that you need to start moving so that you breakdown any of the scar tissue and keep the movement of the muscle fibers.  Do not think that you can't do your workouts.  They will be modified.  You may be using a PVC pipe to do Clean and Jerks but if you up the reps then you are still getting a workout.  Will it be the same as before you were hurt? No but you are in rehabilitation mode.  There is a difference between this and training mode.  But there isn't a mode called "STOP".  If you stop then you lose EVERYTHING you have done.  We say that you need to heal on the run.  If you don't do it this way, then your body will just freeze its self up with scar tissue.  You will get better, you will get back to where you were, but it takes time and diligence.  Tell your trainer of any injuries you have and if you need some assistance scaling and rehabbing your injury, ask your trainer!!
