We hear about the use of ice all the time.  The fact that it decreases the inflammation on worked areas and helps with healing is key for all of us crossfitting athletes.   But I also wanted to bring up the idea of preventative icing.  You don't always have to be hurting to use ice in your post workout routine.  Ice will also help with any microscopic injuries and inflammation that you might not even feel!  I personally like to use ice on my lower back if i do heavy deads or power cleans.  Since i have started doing that, my recovery seems to be much faster and i feel less pain the next day.  Another thing to try, especially for your legs, would be ice baths.  If you haven't tried it, you NEED too!!!  Put a bunch of ice in your tub and then fill it with water.  Get in the water and stay there for 10 minutes.  Yes it will hurt while you are numbing up but once you get out of the tub, your body will feel amazing!!!  Give it a try!!!

Registration for WOD #4 will start today.  We will be doing the Event on Saturday again and the make-up WOD for Inferno Members on Thursday.  The event will post at 5pm and we will post it on Wednesdays blog!!
