What an awesome group we had at the beach workout yesterday!!!  Its funny that there was so much concern about the swim, or what the swim was going to be prior to the workout.  It makes me just agree with putting swimming in the Games that much more.  But the best thing is that it made some people do something that they were not used to.  It trained another sport.  It made them do something that they maybe had NEVER done before.  For example, it was the VERY first time that Sean Collier EVER swam in the ocean!!!!!  How amazing is that?  For others, it was facing the fear of swimming in the ocean and conquering that fear.  Our workouts are made to push you into the realms of being uncomfortable.  The more you do this, then the more comfortable you become with being uncomfortable.  This is something that will translate across ANY and EVERY other part of your life from relationships, to jobs, to money, etc.  When you are able to handle yourself in all situations, you will have a much better chance of succeeding in those situations!  Great Job everyone!!!

Complete the following:

21 reps Pull-ups

40 yard shuttle run

21 reps Dumbbell Thrusters (45#, 25#)

40 yard shuttle run

21 reps Vertical jump to 1.5' above outreached hand, touch w both hands

40 yard shuttle run

...continue with 15 reps of each followed by 30 yard shuttle run and end with 9 reps of each followed by shuttle run

*Shuttle Run will be set up with 2 cones placed 10 yards apart.  Sprint from on then once you pass the line of the 2nd cone, you must touch with both feet and hand across the line then sprint back and repeat for 40 yards..
