I am selfish.  Under most circumstances, this phrase is usually riddled with negativity.  Usually it means that you wont share something with someone, or that you keep people out of the loop so that you are the only one to succeed.  But when I say "I'm selfish", I mean that I workout, I eat a certain way, and I live a certain way because of what it does for me.  I choose to do this for me and me alone.  No one is telling me I have to.  When I go to workout, the sole purpose is to better myself.  Now of course there are other things connected to this:  I want to live long for my daughter, I never want to get hurt at work, I want to be able to be young and functional for longer, I want to go out "there" and explore the world with my girlfriend, I don't want to go to the doctor, I don't want to be told I cant do something, etc etc.  But all this stems from one thing: me choosing to go to the gym and workout.  I want to applaud all of you that make this choice.  This is actually what makes our community so strong!  We are all on the same quest and even though we are individually choosing to do it, we have a whole gym full of people in the same boat!!  Be proud to be SELFISH!!!!

*warm-up good first then your 1st set should be around 50% of 1RM.  Hold at the bottom for a count of 5 seconds and do not rest at the top, just go right into your next rep.
