We have talked about training for competitions, training for everyday life and even training when you have an injury. Ever had one of those breaks in your training, like a couple weeks or so? You aren't hurt or anything you just, now, are not in the shape you were when you were hitting it hard and regularly. There are some serious frustrations when you come back. You cant do the weights you were doing before. You don't feel like you can drive through the workout, you are just trying to make it. What is the best way to attack these new beginnings? Well, make sure you see it as a new beginning. This means that you need to hit the reset button on yourself. Go back to all those things the trainers have been harassing you on like your form, not rounding your back, getting full range of motion in all the moves, etc and start from there. Dont worry about trying to get the best time or the biggest weight. Let yourself build a positive momentum. Get some good lifts, have some good workouts and let the first week just be a welcome back. DONT GET FRUSTRATED!!!!!! Just enjoy the ride back to badassness!!
