There has been a big competition going on at the UFC Expo in Houston over the weekend.  Its taking the top crossfitters in the world and teaming them up in pairs.  There are some huge names like Matt Chan and Chris Spealer grouped up but there are others like Rich Froning Jr and his cousin Darren Hunsucker.  Crossfit and all of these amazing athletes have been really jolted to the forefront with the ESPN showing of the Games etc.  Do you think this is helping or hindering Crossfit gyms around the world?  Obviously, the big press makes our workout much more mainstream but does it play into the "Everyone can and should do this " mantra?  Crossfit is so much bigger than just the competitions.  Its the rehabilitation, its the making longer more functional lives, its building confidence, its showing people they can do more than they ever thought correctly and safely.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE ALL THE COMPETITION STUFF!!!!!!  And I want more than anything to get to the Games to compete with the best athletes in the world.  But I also want EVERYONE else to do these workouts and reap the benefits of a crossfit lifestyle.  Post your thoughts!
