Perfection sounds like the ultimate way to do something.  In Gymnastics, the ultimate goal is a perfect 10.  But in real life, is there really such a thing as perfection?  Of course there are some amazing things and things that are unbelievable but it seems to me that "perfection" is something contrived in a vacuum.  We strive for excellence in our movements and in our efficiency.  Perfection in movement is only possible when the movement isn't stressed in any way.  Our trainers will nit-pick you about where your knees are, if you are leaning forward, if your butt to low on the deadlift, etc and it seems like we are demanding perfection.  What we are looking for is for you to hit these keys components of the movements so that it keeps you safe under a heavy load or high intensity.  Safety is more important than perfection.  We want to see you move fast enough so that your moves are safe rather than perfect.  The more weight you are able to handle safely here in the gym, the more functional you will be out in the real world.  So don't worry about "perfection".  Strive for "safety under intensity".  Besides, if your form is perfect then its either too light or you are going too slow:)
