Virtuosity....the act of performing the common uncommonly well.  In Crossfit we make a big deal about the fundamentals in our workouts.  Our Foundations Class is done so that you are able to learn the finer points of some very seemingly simple movements like an air squat.  But there are always those moves that everyone really wants do: muscle-ups, handstands, ring dips, snatches, etc.  Yeah these are very cool moves but their are steps that need to be taken before you can get to these.  Our trainers will modify some of these moves for you so that you are able to build the strength, flexibility and ability to go from the simple moves to the higher level moves.  Here is where the Virtuosity comes in, you need to make sure you FULLY understand and gain the ability of the simple moves before you should jump to those more advanced ones.  This improvement will happen during your warm-up each and everyday.  Don't just get through the warm-up.  Take the time to feel your body and where its moving. Concentrate and focus on the movement, staying tight and strong through the full range of movement.  Do your VERY best to keep the movement as solid as possible even when you are tired during the workout.  Keep this same Virtuosity as you progress to more advanced moves.  Become uncommonly good at the common........AND the uncommon!!
