CROSSFIT .....THE SPORT OF FITNESS! You see this phrase all over the place now and you will see a ton of people bashing it. Being a athlete all of my life, I have been involved in the discussion of what is or is not a sport. And I see people saying that Crossfit isn't a sport but just workouts. So when we train, we are only getting better at working out. I disagree to this. Lets look at all the "sports" out there: Basketball, Triathlons, Marathons, Soccer, Boxing, Football, Swimming, etc. People do these to stay in shape all the time. People will run to stay in shape, they will swim to stay in shape, they will ride bikes to stay in shape, etc. So if people do these activities like this, how is it any different than what we do? If you put two people together doing the same task, no matter what it is, you will eventually have a competition between them. So our competitions are just that. A sport is defined as "an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc." Doesn't Olympic lifting take physical prowess? Doesn't running take physical prowess? Doesn't gymnastics take physical prowess? What movements or activities do we have that don't take physical prowess?? Exactly! What we do is a sport!! The activities we do are put together to elicit an increased work capacity over broad time and modal domains. This is fitness! THUS.....CROSSFIT IS THE SPORT OF FITNESS!! I love this stuff!!

Rx 10 reps. they can be all at once, or broken up but get them in. Scale is 5 reps. Sub will be 50 no kipping pull-ups
