Can people get hurt doing Crossfit?  Sure.  Can people get hurt playing basketball?  Sure.  Does that mean that you shouldn't do them?  Of course not!!  I get so tired of hearing people say that Crossfit is dangerous because you can get hurt.  In any physical activity there is the chance of getting hurt!  Now, I will say that there are people out there who THINK they know how to do certain movements and lifts but really don't.  I will also say that there are some Crossfit gyms out there that don't fully understand the movements, how to teach them or correct them.  This is why we don't do Open gyms other than 1 time a week and it is ONLY for our members that have been there for a while.  We run our Unlimited members through our Foundations Class so that they have a good understanding of how to do the moves.  This class doesn't make you perfect but it give you the basic understanding so that you know where your body is supposed to be.  The coaches at the INFERNO will be sure to hit you on your form constantly.  Yes it will feel like we are badgering you but its for your safety and so that you can be as efficient as possible to get the most out of the workout.  The INFERNO and the NORTHERN INFERNO both have coaches that are pushed to the highest level of CrossFit trainer, the CrossFit Level 2 Coach.  There is only 1 in all of San Luis Obispo County and that is at the INFERNO.  But, trainers from both gyms are all held to the knowledge level of the LEVEL 2 status.  So please understand that with this, you are receiving the HIGHEST possible coaching in the county.  Our goal is one thing, to make you better than you are today.  Period.
