To be fit you must be able to go short and fast, and you must be able to go long and hard.  You must have the ability to be good at workouts that are under 30 seconds, that are in the 5-10 minute realm, and the over 25 minute realm.  Do you train for this?  If you are really good at one and bad at the other then you aren't fit....you are just good at one type of workout.  We define fitness as "increased work capacity over broad time and modal domains".  This means you have the ability to do anything.  Now of course there are levels of fitness in the gym but what we want to look at is YOUR level of fitness.  If you are increasing your work done in all of these time domains and doing all kinds of different weight amounts and different movements........ well then you are increasing your fitness!  Keep up the amazing work!

Complete the following:

Tabata Sprints

     *With a clock in your hand, sprint as fast as you possibly can for 20 seconds then rest for 10 seconds.  Do this for 8 rounds.  Once you finish, you have 3 minutes to do 30 burpees.  At the end of the 3 minutes, do the 8 rounds of 20 seconds sprinting and 10 seconds rest.  See how far you ran in that 8 minutes of workout.

     *1-1-1-1-1

     Warm up well with the thruster then start your first set at 75% of your 1RM.  Move up from there and get after that weight!!!
