I know its the day after 9/11, but as i was writing the blog last night, i was watching a video recount of the 9/11 incident. It was news coverage. It was video complied by random peoples videos, raw news footage, etc. It honestly was one of the gnarliest things i have ever seen on tv. I remember when it happened and i remember the shock then. But these shots from people on the ground when the towers collapsed and the cloud of dust and debris that moved through the city like a giant wave was one of the freakiest things ever. Again taking all the politics out of that day, it was one of the saddest, craziest, most surreal days of my life. I guess it would be like D-Day for our grandparents. When we say "never forget", we are talking about ALL the people that do things for us to protect and take care of us. Our armed forces, firefighters, police, coast guards, rangers, lifeguards, teachers, coaches, parents, etc. There are people out there who will lay down their life to help others. I know it sounds a little dramatic, but its true. Please dont forget them. Please stand up for them when they need you. Dont wait until its the worst day of your life to want to support them. Rest in Peace to everyone who lost their lives that day 11 years ago.
