"Yeah im working out so I run 6 miles EVERYDAY and its obviously working. Im stronger than I have ever been and my body fat is down. So this means I am more fit than ever!" Uuuummmmmmm NO! I have been told this before and i have to say something about it. Unless your whole goal is to be the best triathlete, or marathoner, then there is NO reason to look like the people on the magazine cover here. In my opinion, its not attractive, its not functional, its not going to help you in your life, and you will only be good at one thing. There must be a goal for everything we do. When you are working out, or "exercising", or doing whatever you do, you need to quantify exactly the reason you are doing it. Sure there may be a couple answers but whats the main reason. If you run only, or do the tread mill, or the elliptical machine, what is the reason for choosing that? If you are lifting in the gym only, whats the reason? Why are you doing those particular movements? These are important questions because you need to understand WHY you are doing what you are doing. You cant design your road map until you know where you want to go. Choose wisely. Or you might end up on a magazine like this:
