We always hear the phrase “unknown and unknowable” in Crossfit.  Why?  The idea is that with the training you have involved with, you have built a foundation in which you are prepared to handle anything that comes your way.  This “anything” can be sport related, job related, or life related.  When you are ready for the unknown and the unknowable, you have what we call General Physical Preparedness.  This isnt about what you look like, or how much you weigh.  Its true functional fitness.  You can climb a fence, you can lift your child off the ground, you can put a heavy bag of dog food up on the shelf, you can hike a mountain, you can jump over a ditch, you can chase someone down, you can pull a partner out of a hole, you can pull yourself up over a wall, etc.  Just think about how cool it would be if you never had fear of having to do “something”.  Well this is what you are preparing for.  You have been testing yourself, pushing yourself, and making yourself a better, more well rounded athlete to be able to handle more situations.  And think about what kind of body you would have if you are ready to handle all kinds of situations…… an awesome one:) FEEL THE BURN!!!
