Competition teaches us a bunch of things.  Obviously it can push us to do things that we wouldnt normally do.  But more importantly, it teach us what we do under pressure.  There will be times when things dont do right and you need to do something.  There will always be the choice to throw your hands up and give up.  But if that becomes your norm then you wont get very far in life.  If, under stress and discomfort, you can adjust your plan and make something happen then you are setting your future up for more good choices like that.  Its about repeatedly making the right choices.  This sets up habits, which become your norm and if you normally are able to handle pressure, adjust your plans when things go wrong and advance, then you are going to go places. Not just in the workout, but in life:) FEEL THE BURN!!!
