To RX or not to RX.  That always seems to be such a big question.  WE DONT CARE IF YOU DO RX WEIGHTS HERE OR NOT…..EVER!!!!!!  Did i say that loud enough?  The weight is there for most to either push you or give you a guideline as to what type of workout is should for you. The RX maybe be really heavy and thats not because we expect everyone to do that weight, but rather for them to do something relatively heavy for them.  Again, we are looking for a particular response with the workout rather than you just doing what is written.  For example, the other day we did deadlifts and ring dips.  How many of you actually finished the rounds before the time cap.  Not many at all.  But it was designed so that you were pushing hard for the 6 minutes!!!  If you can do a couple ring dips at a time unassisted or you can do 8-12 with a band, which is the better choice?  For this workout, the correct choice is banded because the Intensity is meant to be HIGH!!!  If you struggle with 2 reps at a time and rest for more than 15 secs in between, how high is the intensity?  Its not. Sure you are working hard but the work done over time is much lower.  So decrease the weight and get moving.  Now this doesnt mean you sandbag the workout and go super light.  WE LIFT HEAVY THINGS HERE!!!!  So find out how heavy for you it should be!  This will keep you in the same time frame as the rest of the group and you will be getting the right response from the workout.  FEEL THE BURN!!!
