I hear some people, experts in their own field, saying how CrossFit training is failing at this and at that all over the place.  They say that CrossFit is bad because it asks people to lift heavy weight without the proper technique or skill.  They say that its bad because because the emphasis is on the whole body moving rather than developing core stabilizing isometrics.  And bad because they are in danger of injuring themselves because they are doing high rep lifting at high speeds…….BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!  At some point “they” are going to have to realize that these arguments are just plain stupid.  First, CrossFit, nor the INFERNO, ask our members to lift heavy weight without proper technique.  Yes we want to build strength and do that by moving Large Loads Long Distances Quickly, but you must first learn the movement, then as you you gain the muscular structure and support to do these lifts, you can increase the weight ans then go heavy and fast once you have that down.  Is there a chance for injury? Yes.  Its the same in any other physical activity.  Second, the body moves as a system.  Its ridiculous to think that you dont build core stability by moving as a system.  A system can only move as good as its parts will let them.  You will not build a strong system by only moving as single individual pieces.  And people, PLEASE understand that in our world form and speed are both important.  Long slow workouts do not set up a foundation for you to work at high intensities.  Why would a fireman do a long 45 min elliptical workout while he watches the game?  Its not setting him up for his job and the high intensity that it will demand.  Yes there may be many bad or incorrect trainers out there that are doing some version of crossfit, but this doesnt make what CrossFit is bad.  In fact you just need to find a good solid coaching staff (like that is whats at the INFERNOs) and you WILL see the difference!!!! FEEL THE BURN!!!
