Not everyday in the gym is a PR day.  Some days its just about blowing off some steam, other days its just about moving even when you dont want to, others are days to test something out or learn something new.  Sure there will be days that you PR all over the place also.  So which day is better?  It depends on you.  It depend on what YOU need that day.  If the day is just crappy, then you need something to lift your spirits.  Maybe you need to breath hard and that will make you feel better.  Maybe you need to laugh with some of your INFERNO friends.  For either, the gym is here for that.  Even if you are training, realize that there will be some days that will not be the best training days.  Dont get frustrated.  Just let it be.  Let the good vibs of the gym and the fact that you are moving your body bring you back!  Allow it to be your sanctuary:) FEEL THE BURN!!!

Technique Thursday

.......Take 10 minutes to understand how "negatives" work.  In most gymnastic movements, if you dont have the strength to do a movement yet, you can build strength by working the negative of the movement.  For pull-ups, start with your chin above the bar and slowly lower yourself down. For HSPUs, start in the locked out position then slowly let yourself descend to the mat.  For dips, start in the locked out position then slowly lower yourself to the bottom position.  Building strength could be a negative EMOM of 5 reps of 5 second negatives of whatever movement for 7-10 mins.

.......Min 1) 5 reps of 5 second HSPU Negatives

.......Min 2) 5 reps of 5 second Pull-up Negatives

.......Min 3) 5 reps of 5 second Dip Negatives

*counting correctly will make you work for :30ish each min.  if these are going to be too easy, then add weight to yourself with a weight vest or other object
