I have heard that living a life of "gratitude" actually ends up making your life much more happy.  The idea of gratitude is to give to others but to do it without the thought of looking for something in return.  Many people think this means money, of course they are usually doing it for a tax break.  But if you look to help/give to others then the burden of "life" isnt sitting directly on you.  How does this work?  Its the idea of teamwork.  The SEALs utilize this idea.  Its ALL about the team.  When you start to fail/breakdown/suffer, etc,  then you turn your attention to your teammates. This makes it so you dont feel as much pain or struggle and you are able to keep on going.  You also then know that they have your back.  This becomes a cycle of strength and protection.  Is your world important?  Of course it is.  But does this mean to ignore others around you?  Well by this "life of gratitude" you end up losing out if thats the case.  Care for others, give to others, help others.  Have a better life:) FEEL THE BURN!!!
