Things in life are cyclical.  There is the circle of life, movies that are remade and then remade again, music that is sampled and copied, etc etc.  And in Crossfit, we have repeated workouts.  Last year in the Games we saw the elite do the workout Murph and the havoc it wreaked.  Dave Castro has announced the first workout for the Games this year and said that it will be Murph.  Of course we dont know if its for Masters, or Teams, or Individuals again but is it bad if it is?  Many will say yes because so many athletes struggled with it and it affected them the rest of the competition.  If the Individuals get to do it again, i dont think its a bad thing.  Its not bad programming.  Its not looking to ruin athletes again.  Its to do one thing, test fitness.  The fact that athletes were hammered last year had nothing to do with the event.  It had to do with preparation.  Knowing how to perform in the heat.  Understanding how to deal with heat in a 30-45 minute workout.  If they get to do it again, i would expect a much better result by the athletes because they WILL be prepared for this heat.  Im sure they will get outside somewhere its hot and do it.  To perform better you need to learn from your last reps.  As the cycle of fitness continues, the good athletes will adapt and become better and better and better.  We all need to do this same thing in every aspect of our lives.  If we do then we will all increase our capacities in all kinds of different areas.  DO you want to increase yours? FEEL THE BURN!!!
