Its amazing how music and transport you back to a particular time in your life.  It could be a good place.  It could be a sad place.  It could be a fun place or it can be an intense place.  I know that i love to listen to music when im working out mostly so that i dont hear myself breath to hard.  And i can remember thinking the same thing back when i was in high school and training when we would run the Sunday Mountain run.  I would turn up my VERY big Walkman so loud so that i didnt hear anything but the song.  Whats crazy is when i hear some of those songs that i listened to then, i can SEE particular parts of the mountain on the run.  I can smell the desert.  I can taste the dust.  Its a powerful memory.  We can use this when we need to put ourselves in a similar state of mind if we have something coming up that we need to be fired up for.  This is more of a prep thing.  In the heat of working out, i honestly dont even hear the music......unless its country....then im just angry hahah.  But what do you like to listen to?  Do you know why?  :) FEEL THE BURN!!!
