For all of you that did the workout yesterday, congratulations!!!  It was brutal!  And im sure you all heard "it" around the 3rd or 4th round.......that voice...the one that tells you to stop, to go easy, to cut the reps, that you dont need to go faster , that you dont need to go harder, that you really had a long day and so you shouldnt do much more, that you are older than everyone else there, that you arent good at running, that you arent good at wall balls, that its too hot, that its too cold, etc etc.  The workouts we do are tough.  It calls on all your physical abilities for sure.  But the real test is right there between your ears.  ESPECIALLY in the long workouts.  You need to make yourself be ok with pain and know that it will be there for a while.  You have to learn to distract yourself away from certain things like how many more rounds are there or that you have 20 minutes left of the 30 minute wod.  You need to stay right in the moment.  Getting through each piece.  Not thinking about the wall balls until you are totally done with the run.  You need to keep a short but loud mantra in your head.  This will help to drown out the other voice.  Then before you know it you will on the last couples sets, then the very last one.  This is mental toughness.  And this will trump physical toughness EVERY time:)

FEEL THE BURN!!!
