I hurt my knee, so i cant work out.  I hurt my shoulder, so i cant workout.  I hurt my ankle, so i cant work out.  Etc Etc.  NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How is it that we have had everything from a paraplegic to women that are due to give birth that day to people that are 2 weeks out of knee surgery still in the gym working out.  But if someone doesnt feel 100% then they decide not to come in......  We are able to modify for EVERYONE and honestly we do that every single day.  So first, know that.  Second, the human body is NOT made to sit and wait until all the pieces are feeling ok.  The human body is made and designed to "heal on the run".  What this means is that our bodies are EXTREMELY strong at compensating.  We can work around things that hurt.  This doesnt mean that we will have you do the exact same stuff that hurts your body. It means if you can do pull ups, then can have you do ring rows.  We can find a "functional" pull movement that you will still be able to use.  Now of course, if you are truly injured, then you are in a "rehabbing" state rather than thinking you are going to PR lifts, movements, or times.  This means to be smart.  Dont do something that will make the injury worse.  But it also doesnt mean to not come in and workout.  That way, when the injured/sore piece heals up, the rest of the body will be right there, still in shape ready to go.  If you shut everything down, then not only the sore piece will be de-conditioned, the rest of the body will be too.  Work with us and come in and we will work with you!!:) FEEL THE BURN!!!

Technique Thursday:

.......Take 15 minutes to work on the Air Squat.  I know this sounds like no big deal but we are going to do some mobilizing of the hips and ankles then we are going to shoot for holding a "10 minute squat".  This will be in the bottom position, doesnt have to be an active position.  If you cant hold it for 10 minutes then you will add up your accumulated time in 10 mins and post to the board.
