When people first get into Crossfit, they literally PR everyday.  This even happens for months.  They will lose large amounts of weight also.  Its like the biggest overhaul of all times.  But then after they hit the 6-9 month mark....things start to slow down.  The PRs dont happen as frequently.  They dont lose as much weight.  Arent they still working hard?  Are they getting weak on their diet?  Whats really happening is they are finally "normal" in their lifts and times.  They have learned how to do the lifts and have been able to move up to decent amount based on this new learned ability.  Those that lose weight had a bigger amount to lose.  So once they start working really hard and doing these intense workout that make them burn calories for hours after the workout, they lose weight.  But then they expect the weight loss will happen at the same rate.  It doesnt happen.  There is less to lose so it wont go as fast.  Then frustration sets in.  Now is when the athlete needs relax and enjoy the fun.  Put your focus on something different so you arent looking at the exact same things.  The cool thing about CrossFit is that we have so many different things to try to get good at, you can always change gears and work on something else and start PRing on that.  Then come back to the other things and see what happens.  Just because you arent PRing often doesnt mean the program doesnt work.  Trust in the plan:)
