What is in a connection with a song?  I have been around a while now compared to others and i have come in contact with a ton of different styles of music.  Some i really love, some i hate.  But there is definitely something about music that connects us to times in our lives.  I can listen to music fom the 70's and be flashed back to swimming in our pool at my families house in the hot Arizona summer when i was only 7 years old.  I can hear songs from the 80's and be flashed to a dark moment in my car with a girl i really liked and all the things that were swirling through my head.  Or the 90's and be flashed to a hot sauna cutting weight with some of my teammates while playing  the Nintendo Gameboy and listening to certain songs.  Or the 2000's when my oldest daughter was born and times on the engine with some of the best friends I've ever had.  Or the 10's and be zapped back to the Crossfit Games, or the birth of my youngest daughter.  Music is powerful.  Its emotional.   Sure some of it might suck really bad but it can become the soundtrack to our life and to our memories.  Sometimes its just fun to let yourself be transported back.  Sit back and listen to something and see where you go:) FEEL THE BURN!!!
