Ever watched a horse race?  If you look at the horses, each of them have eye wear that keeps them from seeing anything behind them or beside them.  The object is that they could get spooked or distracted from what it is that they are trying to do by what is around them.  Imagine that, you take an athlete and remove distractions from them.  Do you think they will perform better or worse? Sure there are some that step up to the challenge when they are shooting for someone.  But more often than not, the athletes brain will start to throw negative comments into their head.  They will start to lose confidence and faith in what they can do and all this can happen even if NOTHING has actually not even occurred!  We all need to be a race horse when we are doing those important, hard things in our lives.  We need to put the blinders on, put our head down and do what we do!  We need to push hard without distractions WHENEVER possible!  Figure out what you need to be your "blinders" and then put them on when its time to get to work!  Giddy-yup!:)
