Strong is the new skinny.  I think this is a very trendy statement nowadays. But being the father of two girls, I really do absolutely love it. For years women have been told that they are a weaker sex. There are hundreds of magazines that show women that having a skinny wafey body means that you are attractive. This stigma has stuck in women’s minds for way too long. One of the absolute best things about CrossFit is that it’s a fitness program that is truly objective rather than subjective. It isn’t about if others think that you are attractive. It’s about what can you do. When you work out and you chase performance, the body will follow. Since CrossFit training is designed to make you good at everything, the body you will be building will be one that can do anything. You will be able to run, jump, lift, carry, sprint, climb, chase, throw, etc.  As you get better at each of the different movements in our training, that then becomes your number one objective. The weight on your bar, the time of your round,  the number of reps you’re able to complete are all 100% real. Think about those women that are chasing the perfect abs, or the perfect butt, or the perfect legs, they base their success off of what other people think. Whereas in our training the number is what the number is and as the number goes up, you ARE getting better. This builds confidence in yourself and your abilities. Not every female body is supposed to look exactly like every other body. But as you build your machine, your body will look the way it’s supposed to look. And as a guy, I love what I see out there! Keep it up ladies!
