When I was a kid we had a pool at our house. I remember seeing my dad’s high school wrestlers jumping off the roof into our pool when we would have parties at our house. I really wanted to be able to do that. I remember going outside with my dad one time and sitting up on the roof with him telling me it will be okay just to jump out and I would land in the water. I was super scared. I sat there frozen on the edge of the roof wanting to jump but not being able to jump. I remember being there for really long time LOL ha ha! This moment is exactly how most moments are when you are needing to take a risk on a decision. There is something that you want to do or something that you want to accomplish but you are afraid of all of the bad, painful, or negative things that might happen. So inside you end up having this battle of what you should do. Taking risks is where all the good things have happen in our civilization. But, taking a risk doesn’t mean being dumb about your decision, because to make any decision you need to make sure that you’ve thought it out. Once you figure out the decision then it’s a matter of acting. Sure it could not work out and yes there is a chance that something bad might happen but with the smart risk management the outcome could be spectacular! Isnt that worth it? I truly believe that life is about taking risks. There have always been those sayings like “ seize the day”, or you only live once, and I believe that this mentality is important. We are on this planet for relatively short amount of time and we were put here for a reason. Figure out how you’re going to make your mark and then leave it for everyone to see for years to come. Don’t be afraid of risks!
