I'm sitting on my couch after I came back from watching my daughter's football game.  Sam, my boxer,  always gets excited when I come home and almost immediately wants to play.  He grabs a lacrosse ball laying around on my floor and starts to growl. Tail wagging all crazy.  He pounces and bounces all over the place trying to get me fired up to play with him.  He brings his face right to the couch where I am and starts to give a light moan.  I growl back at him with my face literally 6 inches from his.  I can see his eyes getting bigger.  His pupils dilating wide so that he can take in as much information as possible.  It's at this point where we are at a stand off.  There is that moment where he is wondering when I will pounce on the ball or if I'm going to stop.  I'm wondering if he is going to take a snap at my face or back down.  And this stare down is the exact same thing that happens many times during your regular day.  You are facing off with tasks, you are facing of with dilemmas, you are facing off with bills, you are facing off with relationships, you are facing off with your training, you are facing off with your diets, etc.  And what do you do?  Do you back down or do you stand your ground and attack?  Do you take the submissive role or do you keep readied to respond.  What happens next is up to you!  :)
