Decisions and choices are thrown into our faces at a moment's notice ALL the time.  They may be as simple as which mug you will drink your coffee from in the morning or as important as choosing your school, if you should get out of a relationship, or if you should keep your current job/career or not.  Since these choices happen all the time, it may seem at times that choices are made haphazardly.  And for some they are.  I'm not a fan of this.  I'm not saying that you cant live life and have fun, but whether you are living the Carpe Diem life or you are grinding towards a particular goal, each of these choices is a distinct fork in the road.  And just like those old "choose your own adventure" books that I used to read when I was a kid, each choice took you to a particular place.  Sometimes the decisions lead you to good outcomes and other times they lead you to bad things.  In my life, I have tried to learn from each of the choices.  I don't want to say that they are good or bad necessarily because I feel each outcome is a matter of perspective.  But there is something to learn from each and every choice that's made and we NEED to take this knowledge and use it so that we can have more "positive" outcomes.  Life is short and we get very busy so its a waste of time to NOT put the conscious effort into making the best choice.  It's not a matter of being a goody-two-shoes, or not living life.  Its more about being efficient in your life.  Get the things you want by making the choices to make them happen!  :)
