Small victories can be just as important as big victories. I think most of us feel that if we don't accomplish the big goal that we are a failure or that we didn't succeed. Truth is, there are a bunch of little steps that have to happen for that big goal to be achieved and every time one of those small steps is accomplished we need to make sure to celebrate that. This doesn't mean you have to have a gigantic ovation for every PR of any kind, or every time you pay your bills on time or every time you decided to study for three hours and actually made it to three hours. But it does mean that you should give yourself a little pat on the back, telling yourself "YES I did the thing that I set out to do!"  Most of the time, people look at the steps as "if-I-get-to-it" or "I-might-do-it" when they really ALL have to be done and done successfully. So if you make yourself a list of five things to do but you were only able to actually accomplish one of those, then at the end of the day give yourself a good job/high-five for that one small step moving forward because as long as you're moving forward you are improving and becoming better!! :)
