What do you do when you are lined up with two other badasses that you KNOW are better than you?  What do you do when you are lined up with two others that you know you are way better than?  What do you do when you are thrust into a high pressure situation of competition or anything else of importance?  Generally speaking, i think i can give you what happens with most people.  With the people better than you, most will go in with the "well im going to get my ass kicked so i wont try very hard", or even starting with the right mindset until they start to pull away and then you crumble.  Or when you know you are better than them and are over confident, or just dont push as hard because they are pushing you.  Or the final situation of letting the pressure of people, crowds, expectations, or other variables totally dictate how you perform.  If you see in all of these, not one was about YOU or actually doing the job or performing.  It was ALL based on everyone else and what they are, or not, doing.  In all situations you have one task, to perform to your best ability.  Sure you can get the drive of competition to push you but the second your thoughts move away from YOU then you arent productive anymore.  You litterally have to be like a race horse and put blinders on.  Dont get distracted by the "Stuff" around you.  Focus on YOU and what you do. Then go and do it!!:)
