This will a pretty obvious statement, but breathing is extremely important.  Duh Bill!  Of course we need it to live, and of course when you are working out the more air you can get in the better because not being able to catch your breath is the worst!  But i watch when people are working out all the time and you would surprised how often people hold their breath.  They get nervous and they dont breath.  They start to push hard and they dont breath.  They get frustrated and they dont breath.  The next "Capt. Obvious" statement is nothing good happens when you arent breathing!!  What should be happening instead would be taking deep breaths.  it releases tension, it relaxes, and it focuses you before you need to do what you need to to do.  When you are working hard, or when it really hurts, you NEED to breathe deep and slowly breathe it out.  This will relax you and focus your mind more than you will ever know.  So dont stop what you are doing, or slow down, just focus on your breath and the body will follow with good stuff!! :)
