I was at a funeral yesterday.  For a friend.  It was beautiful and amazing.  There was a poem that was read by Linda Ellis called "The Dash".  It talks about a man who looked at a tombstone of a friend and noticed the date of birth and the date of death.  But, he talked about the "dash" between those two numbers.  Basically, the outside numbers dont mean anything.  Its all a matter of what is done on the dash.  How you lived. How you loved. What you did.  Why you did. We have no idea how long we are here.  It can be taken at any time.  So we need to live knowing that.  This isnt supposed to make you sad, even though talking about death is never enjoyable.  But it is supposed to make you strive to not get caught up in stupid little piddly things.  The goal is to get to the end, no matter when that might be, and be proud of your "dash".  If you were to go right now, would you be proud? :)

FEEL THE BURN!!!
