You ever seen that famous comic book strip of Preanuts where Charlie Brown wants to kick the football and Lucy says she will hold it for him.  But everytime she would hold it, as he would run super fast to kick it, she would pull it away at the last moment.  and he would land flat on his back.  He tried to be smart about it though.  He would have the conversation with Lucy and tell her that he wont kick the ball because she will just pull it away.  And after convincing him that she wont pull it away, he goes at it and falls flat on his back.  WHY the HELL would he keep coming back?  There are two ways to look at it:  1) why do you keep banging your head against the same tree when you know the same thing is going to happen?  The definition ofINSANITY is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. So, is Charlie Brown insane?  Well ;lets look at the other way to look at it.  Why would he keep wanting to kick the ball?  2) Because of the dream!!  He imagnes just how great it would be to make that amazing kick!  Now he is stuck.  At some point good 'ol Charlie Brown will have to decide if he is insane or if the dream s worth chasing.  Ill personally go the dream route.  BUT, ill push to get that dream and not be afraid to change up the way to achieve that dream.  Ill look at the dream and try to decide what about kicking the ball am i so fired up about.  Is it the kick and feeling the power of that?  Is it the fantasy that being on the big field and having the fans cheer for that winning point?  Is it just to see how far the ball will go?  Once you figure that out then you can see what changes you need to make.  You can keep kicking but you obviously NEED to get someone else to hold the ball.  Or you can have another discussion with Lucy but then you take responisbliy for whatever happens. Either way, YOU need to take control and take the power back to do what you want.  Things will always happen but it will always feel better when you can feel like you arent a slave to the situation.  Or you can just keep on reading the Peanuts cartoons!  :)
