There are so many times we get piles of "stuff" that we have to do.  It gets in the way of our routine. It gets in the way of our fun time. It gets in the way of our workouts and even our sleep.  We usually attack these with very limited positivity.  In fact, many times we are completely pissed as we are doing it.  And how do you think this attitude affects both the success and the speed of the completion of the tasks?  Well, let's say that it hinders it for sure.  I remember back when I was in school, there were reports, tests to study for, projects, and other packets that had to be completed.  Whether or not I liked the class.  I would mentally have to put myself in the right frame of mind to get through these tasks.  Most of the time I would tell myself that this was my job and part of my job was to do well so I was able to wrestle.  I was at the school to wrestle so it was very important.  Being an adult, there are still things I have to do that I HATE to have to deal with.  But they still have to be taken care of.  If I choose not to do them then I will have to deal with the consequences.  Which usually aren't very favorable.  The fact is that in life you have to take care of your "shit".  Shit doesn't always have to mean it's just bad stuff. It just means its the stuff you would rather not do, or what takes you away from the fun stuff.  But if you can put yourself in the right mindset, then you will get through it much quicker.  Maybe it's connecting it to something like I did with the wrestling in school.  Or maybe it's money for a family trip for later, Or maybe it's to be able to crush muscle ups in the next Open.  There will be things you NEED to do.  Do them. Don't bitch about them.  Just take care of them:)
