Everything in life has a pace to it. Even the pace of going 100% all out and smashing yourself when you still have another 5 rounds or another 25 minutes left, is a pacing strategy. It probably isn't the best choice but it is a strategy. The purpose of pacing is so that you are able to last for the duration of the event or task or to be able to get the most work completed as quick as possible. This is achieved by not resting as much or as long. So you trade a little bit of speed for the longevity of the task. It makes total sense but we need to see that pacing happens, or should happen, in everything from a 1 min sprint to a 24-hour race. There is a way to determine how to reduce the amount of resting so that "reps" are clicking off continuously. Again they might not be clicking off fast but they are still clicking away. The way to figure this out is to do a handful of workouts at full 100% speed. See how long you are able to go, how many reps you can get unbroken, and keep going until you literally are unable to move. Use this info to then figure out that if you slow down a little, how much longer can you continue to go. If you break up the reps sooner, how short can you keep the rests and keep moving at the same speed? All of these things are metrics for you to score better, go faster, etc. This really is the same even when you are looking at the pace for other tasks in your life. Test a few things out so you get some information and then figure out your best option for whatever the time frame is. You ALWAYS need to be thinking of what PACE to go, not pace it out and go slow. Know the difference between slow and paced:)
